    Portion size can be a key influence on how much we eat – numerous studies have shown that we eat more if we’re given bigger portions and it’s been estimated that reducing portion sizes of foods could be an effective way to reduce calorie intakes across the population. When it comes to snacks, portion size may be particularly important, especially if snacks consumed are energy dense foods. This presentation will look at portion sizes for snacks in the context of the British Nutrition Foundation’s recently published Find your balance portion size guide, where snack sized portions are included and will review the place of snacking as part of a healthy diet.
